SHOPWARE PARTS CATALOG

Shopware parts catalog, as a plugin with a Twig extension.

Partsy adds an interactive exploded parts diagram to your Shopware 6 product detail pages. Two product custom fields decide which diagram a product shows, and the plugin configuration holds the key, so nothing is baked into a template.

Shopware Shopware 6 plugin · Twig template extension · theme-safe

Exploded diagrams for European spare-parts catalogues.

Spare-parts retail in the DACH region is technical by default: buyers compare dimensions, compatibility and part numbers before they commit. A keyword search assumes they already have the number; an exploded parts diagram lets them arrive at it visually.

Partsy turns the diagram you already publish into an interactive product catalog on the product page — numbered callouts, a photo and part number per component, and a View / Buy link to wherever you sell that part.

A Twig extension on the product-detail content block

Install it in four steps.

  1. Install the plugin. Copy Partsycatalog into custom/plugins and run bin/console plugin:install --activate Partsycatalog.
  2. Create the custom fields. Add partsy_product and partsy_model to a custom field set and assign it to your products.
  3. Configure it. In Extensions → My extensions → Partsy Catalog → Configure, set the base URL and publishable key.
  4. Fill the fields. Set the Partsy product and model per product; the template extension renders the diagram on the detail page.

What it does not do.

The extension targets one block. It layers onto the product-detail content block. If a project already overrides that block heavily, the extension still applies, but the surrounding markup is your theme's, not ours.

It does not touch your product model. Two custom fields are added and nothing else. Prices, variants, availability, and the Shopware rule builder are untouched, and no product is exported to Partsy.

Shopware parts catalog: common questions

Does the plugin override my theme?

No. It adds a Twig template extension that targets the product-detail content block, so it layers on top of whatever theme you run and survives a theme update.

Where do I put the Partsy key?

In the plugin configuration under Extensions, not in the theme and not in a Twig file. That keeps the publishable key in one place, so rotating it never means editing a template.

Which Shopware version is supported?

Shopware 6. The plugin reads the two Partsy values from the product entity's custom fields, which is the supported extension point for per-product data.
