This policy explains what information Partsy collects from brands, distributors, and their teams, and how it is used. Last updated 16 September 2026.
Partsy provides tools for brands to build spare-parts catalogs and for approved distributors to browse, message, and order against them. This policy covers the information processed through the Brand Studio, the Distributor Portal, our marketing site, and related support channels.
Account & business information: name, email, phone, role, and for distributors, business details such as GSTIN, address, and contact person, provided during registration or approval.
Catalog & commercial data: product and tool names, uploaded diagrams and images, callouts and part details, stock levels, and pricing entered by a brand.
Order & messaging data: orders placed by distributors, their status history and shipping details, and messages exchanged between a brand and a distributor through the in-app inbox.
Payment data: subscription and setup-fee payments are processed by our payment partner, Cashfree. Partsy does not collect or store your card, UPI, or bank account details; we retain only order references, amounts, and status.
Technical data: your IP address and an approximate location derived from it, shown to signed-in users in the footer of the workspace and used for basic security and diagnostics; standard web request logs such as browser type and pages visited.
We use the information above to: operate the catalog, ordering, stock, and messaging features you use; process subscription payments and keep billing status accurate; send transactional email such as account verification and order notifications; maintain the security and integrity of the Service; respond to support requests; and improve Partsy's features and reliability.
Catalog, stock, and order information is shared between a brand and the distributors it has approved, because that sharing is the purpose of the Service. We also share information with service providers who process it on our behalf, including cloud storage for diagrams, images, and logos (Firebase / Google Cloud), transactional email delivery (Resend), and payment processing (Cashfree). These providers are only permitted to use the data to provide their service to us.
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information where required by law, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Partsy, our users, or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy continuing to apply.
Data is stored in access-controlled databases and cloud storage, with authentication required to reach brand and distributor workspaces. Passwords are stored using one-way hashing, not in plain text. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the data involved.
We retain account, catalog, order, and messaging data for as long as an account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution needs. You can request deletion of your account data as described below, subject to information we are required to retain by law (for example, billing records).
You can review and update most account and business details directly from your Settings page. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or object to certain processing, by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Partsy uses a session cookie to keep you signed in and a CSRF token to protect form submissions; both are required for the Service to function and are not used for advertising. Some in-app features, such as the guided product tour, use your browser's local storage to remember your progress on your own device; this data is not sent to third parties.
Partsy is a business-to-business service intended for brand and distributor personnel. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above, and where appropriate we will notify account owners in-app or by email.
